← The Mountain Overlook SHARED HUMANITY

Left

“You are not alone. We are all human.”

Look at the children. They have not yet learned the language of separation. They reach for one another’s hands without asking what country, what creed, what name. They simply reach.

We are born knowing this. Somewhere along the way, we let it be taught out of us — by markets, by tribes, by the small fears that grow large when we stop tending them.

But the truth has not changed: there is one human family, and we are it. The person across the table, across the street, across the ocean — they carry the same fragile heart you do. They want the same impossible things: to be known, to be loved, to be allowed to love back.

You are not alone. You have never been alone. We are all human, and every face you meet today is a mirror.
